With its minimalist design, the Intuition Platino Wood stands out from the crowd. Following the highly polished precious resin models, this series of writing instruments with its characteristic trumpet shape now includes a barrel made of the finest grooved hardwoods: The dark brown Grenadilla enrich the collection with more extraordinary verns. Due to their slow growth, the certified exotic woods are very tough and therefore time-consuming in their manufacture.

No threaded joint interrupts the pure design of the Intuition Platino Grenadilla. The gently sweeping concave contours of the grip are evidence not only of the most careful workmanship, but also offer maximum comfort when writing. The warmth of the exotic woods is accentuated by the platinum-plated metal cap that completes the fountain pen and rollerball pen. The cap is decorated with the Graf von Faber-Castell coat of arms that can also be found on the end-cap of the propelling pencil and ballpoint pen.

The fountain pen is equipped with a cartridge/converter system and an 18-carat bicolor gold nib with iridium tip. The nib is largely hand-made, involving over a hundred steps, and is then 'run in' by hand. The rollerball pen possesses a smooth-running ruby point and an unusually long-lasting magnum refill. The propelling pencil uses break resistant 0.7 mm leads of hardness B and has a reservoir for spare leads. There is a replaceable white eraser under the end cap. The propelling ball pen is fitted with a standard size large-capacity refill which is internationally available.
