A pen which has been reviewed to death but definitely should be on the radar of anyone looking for a 1st serious FP

  2. Great piston filler in modern styling

This pen is a real classic. Beautiful modern design that is delightful to use, and able to use the ink of your choice in a solid piston operated mechanism.

  4. A Unique Writing Instrument

Posted by Raees on 26th Jun 2014

Being an old pen collector, I started off from Parker 45 and then was a big fan of Parker 100 (both are discontinued as of now). When I got Lamy 2000 it inspired me owing to two factors 1)it is unique and only of its kind with its Makrolon finish and durability while on the other hand 2) it has takem me into the era of Parker 45s and 100s of the world. All in all a perfect writing instrument to have for an executive.

  5. Pen Yang Ajaib

Posted by Mohd. Azwan B. Mohd. Rizat on 26th Aug 2013

Ingat pelikan, ingat lamy 2000. TERBAIK.

  6. Wear-hardy!

Posted by Anon on 17th Sep 2012

I've had mine for about a year now. Used this since my last year in high school and still using it in my first year in university.

The main body is really resistant to scratch damage, and the seam for the filling screw at the rear end is almost unnoticeable. The full black finish with stainless steel clip goes well with formal attire too.

The nib writes smoothly on most papers. In fact, very smoothly for an XF size. Not many nibs with the XF size can so that.

Be advised though, the screw threads that hold the nib to the main body tend to disintegrate after extensive usage. It still holds tightly with no leaks though.

Simply, capacious, highly-functional, and formal. Recommended for anyone who wants a great money for value fountain pen.

  7. Excellent performance

Posted by Unknown on 7th Jun 2012

Have been using this pen for a few months, and I must say I'm very impressed. I've brought this pen with me hiking, rock climbing, etc., and the makrolon doesn't show any unsightly scratches.
Another thing not commonly mentioned is that the nib is slightly stubbish, like the vintage pens some might be accustomed to. The vertical strokes are just slightly thicker than the horizontal strokes.

  8. good fountain pen

Posted by ming on 24th Feb 2012

I received the pen on today morning.I have never used such a good fountain pen.the nib is very smooth, just like a rollerball pen.
The stortage is there were some dust attached on the pen.

  9. What wet flow!

Posted by rjbalaska on 22nd Nov 2011

I love this pen. I've had three now, and managed to drop one and splay the nib. So I bought another one. The flow is unbelievable! The ONLY downside is that if you like a truly fine, fine line, the ink flows so beautifully on any decent paper that it ends up nearer medium. So get lousy paper and enjoy writing!

  10. Best FP for everyday use

Posted by Unknown on 2nd Nov 2011

I purchased this after two weeks ago and it works perfectly. Very unflashly, but stylish. Nib is smooth.

I would also recommend pilot VPs and Aurora Optima pens. This is better than the VPs because it holds more ink. Slightly more practical than the Optima because it has a slip cap and the nib is smoother.
